It’s been said that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Not everyone looks at things the same way. What’s beautiful to your neighbor may not hold the same appeal for you. That’s true when it comes to homes as well. So what can you do if part of your goal in remodeling your Edmonton home is to make it more beautiful? Fortunately, there are a lot of options—all around you. Here’s a look at some of the most beautiful homes in Edmonton (including some that we renovated). We hope these images will inspire you to create the beautiful home you’ve always dreamed of.
Here's an Edmonton home that we renovated very recently. On the first level, we took everything out except the structural framing. We removed a load-bearing wall and basically rebuilt the whole first floor. This whole kitchen was completely redone. Notice the contrast between the bright cabinets and backsplash and the elegant darkness of the lower cabinets.
This is the dining area from the same home. You can see how open the plan is. You’ll also notice how that hardwood floor serves as a unifying element tying different areas of the main level together.
Here’s a look at an update we did on a 1970s-era bungalow a few years ago. The warm fireplace with built-in bookshelves makes this a beautiful cozy room in which to curl up with a book on a cold winter's night. What an improvement over what was there before!
You can turn a drab and dull bathroom into a beautiful spa-like escape like we did for this room in the same 1970s bungalow. In addition to adding a gorgeous and spacious shower, the owners also picked up extra storage space with built-in shelving for towels.
Here’s a look at how that Family Room looks when seen from the newly renovated kitchen. This turned two small, cramped spaces into a beautiful wide-open area. It hardly looks like a bungalow at all!
Sometimes transitional space can have a huge impact on how your home looks. Here's a minimalist staircase in a modern style home in Edmonton that creates a dramatic (and very clean) look.
Who says modern style can’t be warm and cozy? This bedroom renovation in Edmonton uses clean, straight lines and a combination of grays and browns to create a striking—but welcoming—bedroom.
Take a look at how a marriage of warm wood and stone can create an inviting gathering space in this Edmonton area cottage. The lines of the sofa and the lighting are definitely modern, but the warmth of the fireplace and the wood makes this a very welcoming and comfortable feeling room.
These are just a few of the beautiful homes you can find in Edmonton. Hopefully, these images will give you ideas for making your Edmonton home the place you’ve always dreamed it could be.
